Welcome to Fox Chapel

Wooded lots and estate homes, six miles from downtown

Fox Chapel sits about six miles from downtown Pittsburgh, with large wooded lots, quiet streets, and some of the region's most notable residential architecture. Parks, trails, and the Allegheny River are close by.
Though it was inhabited and settled long before, Fox Chapel didn’t become a popular suburb of Pittsburgh until the 20th Century brought the onset of the automobile. Now with more mobility, Pittsburgh residents could look outside the city for lush places to call home. Fox Chapel was a wooded, rural community and it has maintained that feeling even as it has grown and modernized.
The housing of Fox Chapel is diverse and delightful. It ranges from charming townhouses and condos to cozy single-family homes, and even sprawling luxury estates. Most residences are set back from main roads and surrounded by nature. There’s a wide range of options here, making it the perfect place to find your dream home.
